I pulled out a bag of prized Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips from the top shelf of the cabinet. I tuck them way in the back for a reason. My mom commented about them and I told her that I never thought we would be rationing chocolate chips.
On our blog, I enjoy documenting our adventures in travel, style & design, food, family & parenting.
Also, with years of experience in portrait and commercial photography, fashion styling, interior design/decor, retail and enjoying shopping (ahem, retail therapy) myself, we are thrilled to launch our new venture - Bellini Studio & Co.
Please visit Bellini Studio & Co. by clicking on the Shop link. Enjoy!
All in people & parenting

I hope we all have a time during this season that we can connect with the people we love in a way that we never have before. If that hasn’t happened for you personally, then perhaps you could be the one to make it happen for someone else. It is such a special moment - a shared moment of joy in the midst of a global crisis.
I turned on the music - I set out the ingredients, the bowl and biscuit cutter, and got to work. When it was time to work the dough on the counter, I paused for a minute, considering my options. Sprinkling flour on the counter almost felt a bit, perhaps, excessive today as I thought about friends who have had trouble finding flour in their stores recently during the Corona pandemic.
So, to take the issue at hand, I have discovered that living outside of your home country during a world pandemic is - interesting to say the least. It is different in ways that I didn't know it would be. I never knew that I would gain this sort of knowledge during our travels, but here we are. So, for what it is worth, here are my thoughts:
We were created to live in community and relationship with others...to help each other. I’m so thankful for friends who show up...and then stay.
There is something about starting with an empty pot and slowly layering in ingredients until you have something perfectly warm and wonderful.
